On November 14, the official website of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People’s Republic of China issued the Proclamation on Naming the Third Batch of National Ecological Civilization Construction Model Cities and Counties, and awarded the title of "the Third Batch of National Ecological Civilization Construction Model Cities and Counties" to 84 cities and counties in China. Guangdong Province has three counties and districts on the list, and Gaoming, Foshan is one of them!

The air quality of Gaoming is kept in the first place in Foshan for 6 years. Its beauty of blue water and sky matches with each other, and blooming flowers in the four seasons make a picturesque scenery.

Gaoming is a new highland of advanced manufacturing in the west bank of Pearl River Delta Area and a new sample of Lingnan garden city. It has a unique landscape of “sixty-percent mountain, ten-percent water and thirty-percent farmland”.

With 58.9% greening coverage, Gaoming is one of the best ecological environment areas in the core area of Pearl River Delta Area.

Yunyong Forest is loacted in Gaoming, which is one of the most beautiful forest farms in China and there are more than 520 kinds of plants growing there. The forest water storage capacity reaches 5.12 million /m3, which is known as the “Saihan Dam” in the Pearl River Delta Area.

The golden rice field, which is rare in the modern city, is well-preserved in Gaoming. With the mild autumn wind, dropping ears of rice spread the smell of soil.

In Gaoming, 104 old revolutionary villages changed into new appearances. Ruanyong Village and Liucun Village are listed as the fifth batch of traditional Chinese villages.

Gaoming ranks 40th on the 2019 Top 100 List of China’s Comprehensive Strength Districts. Since 2016, Gaoming has rejected more than 100 industrial projects with low contribution value and unfriendly environment, and explored a way of the ecological civilization development as a major manufacturing town.

There is the first domestic hydrogen energy tram in Gaoming, which is quiet and environment-friendly. Gaoming is driving to the future of science and technology.

New forms of industries such as "agriculture+ecology", "agriculture+tourism" and "agriculture + e-commerce" are becoming more mature in Gaoming.

In the past four years, Gaoming has made great effort to achieve high-quality development with high-level ecological protection, and to explore a path of ecological civilization construction that is harmonious to economic and social development.
