Foshan’s largest bridge will be built as soon as next month

Fulong Xijiang Bridge, the biggest bridge in Foshan will be put into construction as soon as next month. At present, The bridge has entered the preparation stage. After the completion of the project, citizens from Chancheng and Guicheng can reach Gaoming through the western extension line of Jihua Road.

  

Starting from Fuwan Town in Gaoming District, Fulong Xijiang Bridge links the northern extension line of Yangxi Avenue, passes Gaoming Hecheng, Sanshui Baini, and ends at the western extension line of Jihua Road.

  

The bridge is 1770.6 meters long and is a cable-stayed bridge with double towers. The bridge tower is egret-shaped and the main bridge adopts a double main-span of about 500 meters, which means that the bridge will surpass Pingsheng Bridge and become the largest bridge in Foshan.  

  

Fulong Xijiang Bridge plans to start its construction in July 2019 and the expected delivery time is December 12. The design speed of the main line is 80 km/ h, and the design speed of the auxiliary road is 50 km/ h.

  

The construction of the western extension line of Jihua Road and Fulong Xijiang Bridge is of great significance to Foshan. After the completion of the project, drivers from western Foshan can enter Jihua Road to the central urban area of Foshan through the western extension line, so as to speed up the integration of western Foshan into Guangfo core area. The distance from Gaoming to Chancheng Nanzhuang will also be shortened to less than 20 kilometers.
