As another major event in the field of Foshan culture, travel and sports, the 2019 German Bundesliga Club (Foshan, China) International Football Challenge will be held at Foshan Century Lotus Sports Center at 8 p.m. on May 24 (Friday), bringing a Bundesliga-level match for football fans.

VfL Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt are both German well-established teams and they made an outstanding performance at this season’s Bundesliga league football matches. The two teams will travel from Germany to Foshan to participate in the Bundesliga playoff a week after the end of the season.

VfL Wolfsburg

It is a football club in Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, northwest Germany. VfL Wolfsburg Football Club, founded in 1945, is now playing in the Bundesliga Football League. The home court is the 30,000-seat Volkswagen Arena, with an average attendance of 29,000 people.

Eintracht Frankfurt

Founded in 1899, the largest and most successful football club in Frankfurt, is the founding member of the  German Group A Football League, and won the league champion before the establishment of Bundesliga in 1959.

It is worth mentioning that this is the first international competition composed of two of Europes top professional clubs in Foshan. It is also a grand event planned by Foshan to seize a new opportunity for the integration and development of culture, travel and sports. The purpose of this event is to further strengthen the exchange and cooperation between Foshan and Germany, to promote the continuous deepening of the construction of "culture-oriented" city, and to enhance the urban charm and soft power of Foshan.
