Recently, General Office of the State Council issued the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Residence Permit Application and Issuance Measures, which was officially implemented on September 1. Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots who are qualified can voluntarily apply for the permit and enjoy the same public services and facilities rights as mainland residents at their residence.

Wang Pinsheng felt very excited when he heard the news. On the first day of applying for the residence permit, Mr. Wang immediately returned to apply for the permit at Shunde Beijiao Local Police Station. "I have been looking forward for it for a long time! This residence permit gives me a feeling of going back home!” In the process of handling the formalities, Wang Pingsheng was happy and satisfied with the convenient working procedure.

Liu Aihe, deputy chief of Population Management Section from Foshan Public Security Bureau introduced, Foshan has 40 acceptance points now, and the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots who need to apply for the residence permit can prepare relevant documents in advance and go to a nearby acceptance point.
