In the mens 500-meter race, Chinese Team got a silver medal.

Todays 500-meter race is the closing match of the Chinese Dragon Boat Womens Team in the Asian Games this year. Jiujiang Womens Dragon Boat Team has been preparing 8 years for this race.

After getting a gold medal in the 200-meter race on the first day, the team adjusted themselves and took winning the champion as their goal. However, the final result was surprising. China, which was expected to win the gold medal, failed to hold its first place in the preliminary and semi-finals.

For this result, members from the Jiujiang Dragon Boat Team are not satisfied. "Although the result is not perfect, everyone has done their best to show our highest level." Team leader Song Yanbing said regretfully.

For the mens team, the Chinese Taipei Team, composed of canoe and kayak and torrent boat members showed great strength in long distance competitions. In the mens 500-meter final, the Chinese Team got a score of 2 minutes and 14.297 seconds, creating the highest record. But it still lost to the Chinese Taipei team, only getting the second place.

Foshan is outstanding in this Asian Games. On the afternoon of Aug 22, the Chinese Womens Team lost to Janpan under a result of 1-3, missing the first badminton gold medal in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta. During the competition, the 21-year-old Foshan player Chen Qingchen and Jia Yifan partnered with each other in the first doubles of the Chinese Womens Team, becoming the first player in Foshan to win a medal at the Asian Games this year.
