On June 23, consul generals of Colombia, Peru, Cuba and other countries in Guangzhou came to Nanhai to experience the Guangfu dragon boat culture and explore cultural exchange & cooperation. On that day, Guangdong Provincial Cultural Industry Development Association held an opening ceremony for the Guangfu Dragon Boat Culture Experience Base.   

Consul generals and guests from various countries in Guangzhou got on the "Guangfu Friendship Boat" during the activity and experienced dragon boat rowing.       

On that day, the consul generals of many countries and their relatives visited the Guangfu Dragon Boat Culturel Experience (Luckday Fiberglass) Base, tasted dragon boat meal, learned how to row a dragon boat, watched dragon boat launching ceremony and personally drew the dragon boat kite with a theme of "Guangfu Dragon Boat Culture Experience Tour". On the spot, consul generals were curious about the rich color, warm atmosphere and long history of Chinese dragon boat culture. "Dragon boat culture has a very long history and it is already very famous in the world. This is the first time for me to eat dragon boat meal, and it is very delicious. I hope to have more opportunities for communication in the future." Colombias Consul General in Guangzhou Antwaid said, and he also experienced being a dragon boat drummer and dragon boat rowing.

On the day of the activity, Guangdong Provincial Cultural Industry Development Association  held an opening ceremony for the Guangfu Dragon Boat Culture Experience Base. Ms. Liu Fengyi, the responsible person of the base, introduced that Luckday Fiberglass would continue to actively promote the dragon boat culture and combine dragon boat sports, culture and tourism, promote the development of industries and tourism around Lishui with dragon boat as a link. The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Youth Dragon Boat Training Camp in July is planned to open in July.

Nanhai is one of the major birthplaces of Guangfu dragon boat culture. The organizer introduced that it is an exchange study to invite consul generals of many countries here, and it’s also a concentrated display of dragon boat, lion dance, kites and so on. The activity will help spread Guangfu dragon boat culture and bring Chinese traditional culture to the world.
