According to the public transport promotion plan announced on 30th, Foshan will achieve many goals in the field of public transport this year, eventually raising the satisfaction of public transport services to 85%, and the share rate of motorized public transport travel in central urban area will reach 45%.

According to the plan, 100% of the buses will support mobile payment method this year, and all electronic payment data will be connected to Foshan Intelligent Bus Platform. The rate of advice and complaint handling of Foshan Bus Information Service platform will be more than 92%.

It is worth mentioning that the plan also specifically mentioned the promotion of new energy buses. This year, Foshan will phase out 639 diesel buses and 2092 natural gas buses, updating them to 290 hydrogen buses and 2441 pure electric buses.

As one of the third batch of national public transport cities, this year Foshan will also draw up a Three-year Plan of Action for Foshan to Create a Model City for Public Transport, which focuses on the overall planning of optimizing the TC mode of public transport, the planning control of the public transport sites in the whole city, the intelligent construction and the traffic demand management.
