Catering robots developed in Foshan to land on 130th Canton Fair

130th Canton Fair to be staged online and offline from October 15 to November 3 

 

The 130th session of the China Import and Export Fair, better known as the Canton Fair, will be held both online and offline format from October 15 to November 3, lasting for 20 days, according to the Ministry of Commerce.

Exhibited goods will be divided into 16 categories with 51 exhibition areas. The offline exhibition will be held in three 4-day phases as usual, with a total area of 1.185 million square meters and about 60,000 standard booths in each phase. Representatives of foreign institutions and enterprises as well as domestic buyers will be invited to attend the event.

 

As for the online exhibition, the Fair will develop a series of functions such as application scenarios and promotions suitable for offline exhibition.

 

The Canton Fair is the largest and the most effective comprehensive international trade fair with the longest history, fullest range of goods in China. In its 129th online session, domestic buyers placed nearly 2,000 intended orders with participating exhibitors at the fair. Meanwhile, 12,000 domestic buyers such as supermarkets, retail chains and e-commerce platforms, communicated with 340 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions to help overseas enterprises explore the Chinese market.

 

Cutting-edge robotic technologies from Foshan to facilitate 130th Canton Fair 

 

On July 20th, Qianxi Robotics Group, a subsidiary company of Country Garden, has signed a partnership agreement with Guangdong Canton Fair Xindadi Exhibition Service Co., Ltd. in Guangzhou. Independently developed and manufactured by Qianxi Robotics Group, catering robots will be dispatched at each exhibition hall to deliver hot meals to attendants.

At this years Canton Fair, robotic catering services will be first introduced to Exhibition Zone A, with a dining area of 286 square meters, as planned with “clay-pot robots”, “burger robots”, and “spicy soup robots” that comes to service before October. Exhibition Zone D will also be built with a “robot restaurant” that covers a space of over 1,000 square meters and opens next year.

On the same day, Qianxi Robotics Group also signed a contract with National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin), and more robotic catering services will be in place for more national exhibitions and conferences.
