Shunde New Port undertakes public procurement trading

Good news came that Shunde New Port recently has been approved by General Administration of Customs to be the second declaration port for piloting public procurement trading in Foshan.

 

  

Shunde New Port: designated mission for public procurement trading


The first batch of mechanical gears that would be shipped to Bulgaria though Shekou Port were permitted at Shunde New Port on July 13rd. It marks a milestone that Shunde New Port is ready for undertaking the procurement business.

 

Reportedly, situated along the mainstream of the West River in Shunde District, Shunde New Port is the first inland port established by China Merchants Port Holdings and Guangdong Shunde Holding Group Co., Ltd. 

  

With favorable geographical environment and strong port facilities, the port since its opening in 2017 has been a strong boost to both domestic and international trade. Once its second phase wraps up, the annual throughput is expected to expand as measured by over 1 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) and more than 10 million tons of general cargoes.

 

 

  

Policy supports to failitate more exports from Foshan


On November 9th, 2020, Shunde New Port has forged a partnership with Shekou Port in Shenzhen with the help of such technologies as block chain, big data and artificial intelligent. That means declaration, inspection or customs clearance at any of these two ports are mutually recognized, thereby simplifying procedures for customs clearance, cutting cost and facilitating flow of goods.

  

Besides, Shunde New Port has also been equipped with bonded warehouse and assembly center and provided various services, such as goods collection and distribution. As such, an effective, safe business environment will be built up for market procurement.
