Full coverage of 5G network available in Shunde
On June 24th, the 2021 Shunde Sharing Session for Digital Transformation in Manufacturing and the Release Ceremony of Full 5G Network Coverage in Shunde District were held at Guangdong Industrial Design Center, along with a live broadcast via 5G technology.
Technically, 5G network drives industrial upgrading and lays foundations for digital economy. As of June 20th, Shunde has stepped ahead in meeting key technical standards to achieve a full 5G network coverage. It is foreseeable that new impetus will be injected into local digital economy and ways paved for rolling out 5G network programs in Foshan as a whole.
Ever since 5G network was approved for commercial use in Shunde, the local government has been fully aware of one important fact - whoever progresses faster in 5G network wins the opportunity of regional development. Based on the realization, tons of solid measures and policies have been carried out to ensure progress in 5G infrastructure and application, including Action Plan for Accelerating 5G Development in Shunde District (2020-2022), Work Plan for 5G Construction in Shunde District in 2021, Measures Plan for Tackling Critical Technical Problems in 5G Construction, Measures Plan for Subsidizing 5G Construction in Shunde District and so on.
Three local major operators, including China Telecom, China Unicom and China Mobile, witnessed on the spot the full 5G network coverage in Shunde. As 5G network is applied to more application areas in Shunde, the area is more likely to register high-quality growth on all fronts, such as intelligent government service, transport system, medical care, education, as massive changes will be reflected on the experience of every individual, every household and every market entity.
At the ceremony, Shunde Bureau of Economic Promotion has signed a partnership agreement with Shunde Rural Commercial Bank and China Construction Bank (Foshan). In the next five years, the two banks will fund local manufacturing enterprises with 90 billion yuan in total. As the local government, financial groups and enterprises team up together, Shunde sees a great prospect in digital upgrading of manufacturing.
Plus, 26 Industrial Internet Demonstration Projects and 4 industrial parks for 5G+ Industrial Internet application in Shunde have been licensed for their record-setting success.
