Recently, Nanhai District introduced Supporting Measures for Promoting the Development of Convention & Exhibition Industry (hereinafter referred to as the "Measures"), giving full support to the construction of venues, as well as operation and organization of the exhibition. Importantly, the highest subsidy is up to 30 million yuan.

Social capitals welcomed to invest for venue construction

According to the Measures, non-governmental investors qualified to invest will receive a lump-sum subsidy, which is 10% of the total amount of actual fixed assets investment of the programs.

Online exhibition has been emerging since the outbreak of COVID-19 last year. At this very note, Nanhai is striving to boost the development of online exhibition by providing online platforms, attracting investment and giving subsidy.

More subsidies provided to stimulate industrial development

In order to attract more high-quality exhibitions held in Nanhai District, the local government will provide subsidies enterprises with independent legal entity registered in this district and beyond.

Besides, enterprises on the local exhibitions are more accessible to high subsidies and rewards now. In addition to the rent subsidies that are available in all districts in Foshan, Nanhai give extra ones on account of exhibition area and the number of exhibitors.

The local government is also seeking to attract well-known enterprises, professional exhibition platforms and international conferences to settle in Nanhai through subsidies measures and policy support.

Nowadays, convention & exhibition industry is leading among the tertiary industry. Exhibition is hailed as “Powerhouse of Economic Growth” for its powerful capability to drive the development of other industries.

As Qiaoshan Cultural Cener the Naihai International Exhibition and Convention Center have been built, convention & exhibition industry in Nanhai will be in full swing soon with both platform and policy support, further promoting the industrial upgrading in Nanhai district and even Foshan.
