During this Spring Festival, it was all warm and sunny. For the coming few days, however, the weather in Guangdong might take you by surprise!

According to Guangdong Meteorological Service, there would be two cold waves impacting Guangdong this week. Last night, one has arrived, and the other one is expected to land this weekend.

Due to an upper level-trough and weak cold air during the first wave, there will be light rains in Shaoguan and Qingyuan, with moderate rain in parts of its areas. For other cities and towns, there will be scattered light rains. On the next few days, the temperature in north Guangdong will decline by 3-5℃; other regions and cities will go through a temperature drop of 2-4℃.

In a word, the first week in March will be sunless. Remember to pack an umbrella when going out and put on more clothes if you feel cold.

Faced with unstable weather conditions, you may be worried – whether highly humid weather (called as “Huinantian” in Guangdong) will show up? According to weather analysists, due to two strong cold waves, there will be no such weather recently.
