Foshan Women and Children Hospital opens in Foshan New City

After five years of construction, the Foshan Women and Children Hospital in Foshan New City officially opened on December 23, which will be built into a functional and intelligent third-level modern hospital with humanistic care and green landscape. 
  
  
The Foshan Women and Children Hospital in Foshan New City, located in the crossing area of Huayang Road and Heyue Road in Lecong Town, Shunde District, covering an area of 60,866 square meters and a construction area of 200,000 square meters, is equipped with 1,000 beds and 1,350 parking spaces. 
  
  
As a hospital mainly serving women and children, the development of the new hospital in obstetrics, gynecology and pediatrics has attracted much social attention. The obstetric department will be equipped with 7 cozy and independent obstetric rooms and 200 beds, including 12 obstetric beds in the obstetric rooms. 
  
  
  
In addition, the new hospital has prepared 28 clinics for the peak of childhood diseases. Liu Zhigang, Director of the Pediatric Department at Foshan Women and Children Hospital, said that the three-floor Children Infection Department Building has been built in the new hospital, and the first specialized department for treating childrens infectious diseases has been set up to meet the medical needs of related infectious diseases. In the future, children with infectious diseases can receive treatment in the specialized departments. 
     
  
Besides, the new hospital focuses on strengthening the construction of various pediatric sub-specialties and the training of medical specialists, and has set up nine sub-specialties such as children chronic cough specialty and diabetes specialty.
  
  
At the launching ceremony, Zhu Wei, Mayor of Foshan, expected that Foshan Women and Children Hospital could take this opportunity to promote the construction of a high-level hospital and build a new Foshan benchmark in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, so as to provide higher-quality health protection to women and children in Foshan.
