Shunde Gambiered Guangdong Silk Cultural Creative Design Week attracted numerous fans
On October 30, the 2020 Shunde (International) Gambiered Guangdong Silk Cultural Creative Design Week held a series of activities in Lunjiao TANGY Silk Garden, which has made gambiered Guangdong silk, a traditional intangible cultural heritage, to embrace modern life in the form of “intangible cultural heritage + creativity, design + life”.
In the afternoon, a “brainstorming” sharing seminar with the theme of “inheriting intangible cultural heritages and creative life” was held to trace the past and present life of the gambiered Guangdong silk industry. In the special discussion session, guests shared their thoughts from the aspects of the development of the economic value of gambiered Guangdong silk, content e-commerce, the ecological culture of gambiered Guangdong silk, intangible cultural heritage protection and inheritance, etc.
It is known that the online works collection of the Gambiered Guangdong Silk Cultural Creative Design Week began on April 7 with more than 422,100 views on the official website, which has received a total of 1,164 excellent works from 22 provinces across the country and hundreds of professional design colleges, design institutions and enterprises in the United States and the United Kingdom. After the evaluation, 17 finalists were eventually selected.
On the night of the evaluation, 17 shortlisted entries were turned into real products. The contestants skillfully applied gambiered Guangdong silk to various daily necessities such as handbags, scarves, jewelry boxes, fans, pillows, and tissue boxes, which contained good appearance, practicality and cultural connotation, attracting the audience and guests to appreciate.
