The Renovation and Upgrade Project of the Central Axis of Shunde Desheng New Town, known as the “Golden Phoenix”, was selected for the Construction Projects of the Year of the 2020 RICS Awards China, marking the national honorary recognition for the construction of the central urban area in Shunde.

It covers 17 different professional industries such as land, property, construction and environment. The award is recognized as the highest honor in the field of construction and natural environment all over the world.

  

  

  

  

The Renovation and Upgrade Project of the Central Axis of Shunde Desheng New Town, a “golden phoenix” in shape, was completed at the end of 2019. Specifically, the north bank with the shape of “phoenix wings” implies that Shunde is “flying” to a brighter future, and presents the cultural heritages of Shunde through Cantonese opera, martial arts, paper-cut, Gambiered Guangdong Silk and other themes. 

  

  

The Golden Phoenix Square is generally divided into three main parts: phoenix head, phoenix body and phoenix tail, which are connected by a three-dimensional space and curves through a “dragon ridge”. Its construction difficulty is on a par with the steel structure processing of the Bird’s Nest in Beijing, which is not only the first overhead green corridor in Guangdong Province, but also the first overhead slow-moving system green grassland park with the theme of phoenix in China.

  

  

The “Golden Phoenix” is fully concerned about different levels of space and builds a corridor with excellent landscapes with trails, fitness facilities, etc., to meet the needs of leisure and fitness.

  

  

When night falls, the tranquil river is lighted with shining “Golden Phoenix”, bringing people a visual feast with glamorous scenery.
