Tsinghua technology promotes Foshan intelligent manufacturing

On September 8th and 9th, the Integrated Circuit Global Final of the 5th Tsinghua Alumni Innovation Competition was held in Nanhai, Foshan. Experts and professors from Tsinghua, representatives of excellent projects, investment and financing institutions, and Foshan enterprises gathered to focus on the development of the integrated circuit industry.
  
  
It was the first time that the final of Tsinghua Alumni Innovation Competition was held in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The competition facilitated the transformation and settlement of project achievements through seminars, the final competition, theme speeches, round-table dialogues, docking communications and other forms, promoting the development of Foshan integrated circuit industry, enhance the core competitiveness of the industry, and promote the high-quality development of Foshan manufacturing industry.
  
On the opening ceremony of the competition, Cai Jiahua, Foshan’s deputy mayor, said that Foshan is the ideal place for the incubation, cultivation, transformation, and production of various achievements in creativity, innovation and start-up business. Foshan is desiring to work with top scientific research institutes in China such as Tsinghua University, and top talents such as Tsinghua alumni to solve a number of key technological problems by focusing on the integrated circuit and other “chip” industrial clusters. He expected that Tsinghua alumni can stay in Foshan for a few more days to settle more projects and resources in Foshan and jointly share the development opportunities and achievements. 
  
  
It is reported that 24 teams stood out from over 400 teams formed by global Tsinghua alumni entered the integrated circuit final competition after the strict evaluation of the preliminary and semi-final. On the afternoon of September 9th, 24 teams, separated into seed, angel, and growth groups, presented for and docked with dozens of investors and industrial experts on site. The winning projects of the competition were eventually selected after being strictly judged by the experts.
