After being absent for more than half a year, the first large-scale indoor concert was finally staged in Foshan performance stadium.  

On the evening of July 11th, “Arts of medical spirits · respectable fighters”, Foshan Rhythm-2020 Opening Ceremony Concert of Foshan Music Season was held in Foshan Qionghua Grand Theater, which was also the first indoor symphonic concert since Foshan resumed work.

This concert was directed by Foshan Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, jointly organized by Foshan Performance Arts Center and Foshan Grand Theater, and jointly performed by Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra and famous young conductor Zhangbingbing, bringing symphonic masterpieces such as Giuseppe Verdi’s opera the Power of Destiny and John Strauss’s Southern Rose Waltz to audiences. The opening ceremony concert of 2020 Foshan Music Season marks the beginning of Foshan stage performances resumption that has been suspended for nearly half a year due to the epidemic, which is of great significance.

The concert aims to show respect to medical staffs fighting on the front line during epidemic with the theme of “Arts of medical spirits · respectable fighters”. In addition, the organizers also specially invited more than 150 medical staffs who assisted Hubei and fought in the anti-epidemic front line to appreciate the show.

Foshan has always attached great importance to activities benefiting people with elegant arts and “Foshan Rhythm” is a key brand built by Foshan. Foshan Music Season organized by Foshan Performance Arts Center is one of the Foshan Rhythm series activities, promoting Foshan’s construction of high-quality culture-oriented famous city by keeping inviting famous music troupes and presenting fabulous art performances to citizens with high-level shows and public-beneficial price over the years.

It is reported that Foshan Rhythm - 2020 Foshan Music Season will present 5 concerts with different themes. Four of them will be performed by Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra and the rest by Guangzhou Symphony Youth Orchestra. Apart from 2020 Foshan Music Season, dance drama Wild jujubes, Cantonese opera Liangzhu and other operas will be presented in Qionghua Grand Theater soon.
