On the evening of July 4th, “The Concert of me and You” was staged in Foshan Ancestral Temple. A series of 4 consecutive borderless concerts with musicians from many countries presenting wonderful performances to the audiences through the Ancestral Temple live studio officially came to an end, attracting more than 11 million viewers online.
“The Concert of me and You” is a novel online concert, held from 20:00 to 21:30 on June 13th, 20th, 27th, and July 4th in a row. The presenter hosted offline at the Wanfu Stage in Ancestral Temple and connected the musicians’ performances from 30 countries in Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Africa and Oceania online.
Musical performances had no limitations of instruments and styles, including jazz, pop, folk, classical and electronic music. Audiences experienced jazz music from South Africa, rhythm of bandoneón from Argentina, and the flute ensemble from Italy through the concert. Nicole Donkers, a ceramic artist from the Netherlands, presented special effects integrating ceramic and vision to audiences by computer technology. The performance on July 4th alone had attracted over 5 million audiences into the live studio and the history viewing number of the 4 concerts reached 11 million.
According to Sky Culture planning Co., Ltd., the sponsor of the concert, the reason for holding the borderless concert is that the musicians hope to provide more musical works to return the support of fans during this difficult period since they have not been in the public for half a year. At the mean time worldwide music fans can feel the traditional and modern Foshan culture by taking music as the bridge to link the world.
