Foshan helps all impoverished people in Dongzhen Village, Yunfu get rid of poverty
Since the counterpart assistance from the Nanhai District Emergency Management Bureau of Foshan City in 2016, Dongzhen Village, Yunfu City has continued to accumulate strength and gradually realized qualitative changes. More than 400 impoverished households in the village joined industrial poverty alleviation projects, with improved infrastructure and increasing disposable income. As a result, all impoverished households, comprised of over 400 impoverished people, in Dongzhen village , Yunfu were recently lifted out of poverty.
All impoverished people in Dongzhen Village get rid of poverty
Since the Nanhai District Emergency Management Bureau assisted Dongzhen Village in 2016, the annual per capita disposable income of impoverished households in Dongzhen Village increased from 5,804.49 yuan to 15,005.54 yuan. As of November 2019, 118 impoverished households in Dongzhen Village withdrew registered cards in an orderly manner.
Industry poverty alleviation:
Foshan built 25 acres of Polygonum multiflorum planting base, 43 acres of Jianhua planting base and 20 acres of passion fruit planting base in the village.
Support for peoples livelihood:
As the counterpart support unit, Foshan invested 450,000 yuan for the construction of major village roads and natural village roads; invested 490,000 yuan to build the Dongzhen Primary School sports ground, and invested 80,000 yuan to purchase 4 sets of audio-visual equipment for the primary school, helping them successfully apply for provincial innovation demonstration school of rural teaching points. Foshan spent 520,000 yuan to build 210 new street lamps for Dongzhen Village to achieve full coverage of the street lights of 6 natural villages; Foshan invested 80,000 yuan to build Dawei Ecological Cultural Park and it costs 620,000 yuan for Foshan to build new Dongzhen Comprehensive Service Center.
