Foshan Graduate School of BFSU expands talent teams
"Foshan Graduate School of Beijing Foreign Studies University is a new type of integrated industry-university-research institute. We have partnerships with nearly 50 companies. We invite business executives or heads to serve as industry mentors for students and students can also go to companies to practice." Deputy Dean of Foshan Graduate School, Beijing Foreign Studies University Niu Huayong said.
Niu Huayong said that Sanlongwan spans three regions with strong economic strength, covering Shunde, Nanhai and Chancheng. The industrial structure and chain are complete, which provides a broad space for the cooperation of industry, university and research.
Since its establishment in 2014, Foshan Graduate School of BFSU has trained seven or eight hundred students from all over the world, many of whom have chosen to stay and develop locally after graduation. Graduate School of Northeastern University serves industrial transformation in Foshan
Increasing universities choose to settle down in Sanlongwan. Two universities, Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Foshan) and Graduate School of Northeastern University are among this years provincial key construction preliminary forecast project plan.
Among them, Graduate School of Northeastern University was jointly established by the Foshan Municipal Peoples Government, Northeastern University, and Shunde District Peoples Government of Foshan City. It is a school institution in Foshan City and an important part of Northeastern Universitys construction of a world-class university. The plan design and engineering feasibility report of the college have been reviewed recently. The campus will be put into use by September 2023 with a 2000 graduate school student scale.
The relevant person in charge of the college said that they would inherit the high-quality school brand of Northeastern University, serve the industrial transformation and upgrading of Foshan, gather high-level faculty, carry out high-level scientific research, and cultivate high-quality innovative talents.
Break through key technologies with talent-driven projects
The responsible official of Jihua Laboratory introduced that the laboratory focuses on the introduction of all kinds of talents in eight research directions, such as semiconductor technology and equipment, robots and their key technologies, high-end medical equipment manufacturing, high-end display equipment manufacturing, high-end remote sensing equipment manufacturing, additive manufacturing, new materials, new device research and micro-nano manufacturing.
At present, Jihua Lab has introduced 18 high-end teams at home and abroad, including 1 full-time academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 11 part-time academicians, 32 leading talents, and 104 senior professional titles, forming a well-distributed team of more than 600 scientific researchers.
