Guangdong expands epidemic prevention key countries to 19

Starting from March 19th, all inbound travelers with Chinese nationality, and foreign travelers with a history of travel to or residence in the following 19 countries within 14 days prior to the arrival in Guangdong will undergo a 14 - day quarantine at home or in designated venues.

The 19 countries are:
 
the Republic of Korea (ROK), Italy, Iran, Japan, Germany, France, the US, Spain, the UK, Thailand, the Philippines, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium, Norway, the Netherlands, Denmark, Austria, Malaysia.
 
Free nucleic acid tests for all inbound travelers to Guangdong
 
Starting from March 19th, the following policies are applied to all international arrivals in Guangdong.
 
1.Medical expenses
 
As for passengers arriving in Guangdong from overseas, who have tested positive for COVID-19 and are covered by Chinas basic medical insurance, a certain proportion of their medical expenses will be covered by basic medical insurance, serious disease insurance and medical assistance fund, while the out-of-pocket amounts will be paid by financial subsidies.
 
Those who are not covered by Chinas basic medical insurance, in principle, should bear their own medical costs. As for those with commercial medical insurance, their medical expenses should be reimbursed by the insurance company in accordance with their contracts.
 
Those who are not covered by Chinas basic medical insurance and have difficulty in paying for medical expenses, if eligible, are entitled to treatment according to laws and regulations.
 
2.Expenses for board and lodging in quarantine
 
Travelers under quarantine in Guangdong need to pay for their own board and lodging.
 
3. Expenses for nucleic acid test

Nucleic acid tests will be conducted for all inbound travelers at the states expense.
