The 3rd New Year Floating Flower Market in Lishui Town kicked off
The 3rd Lingnan New Year Floating Flower Market in Lishui Town kicked off on Jan. 14th and would last until Jan. 23rd. Citizens will have access to wonderful activities for ten consecutive days, admiring different scenery of the beautiful water village in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The lighting ceremony of Lishui Town Floating Flower Market began with a song named Lishui Welcomes You, a combination of Cantonese opera and rap. Wu Feifan, a Cantonese opera master, performed in costume on a boat, while a rapper jumped along the shore with lion dance. The diverse performance methods were perfectly integrated to bring a novel experience to the public.
Flower boats are also decorated with lights to carry tourists on river cruising. Citizens can also buy their favorite flowers at any time to celebrate the Spring Festival.
This year’s Floating Flower Market covers several park areas such as Fushou Garden and Art Riverside. There are more than 100 booths on the site, including the most trendy gifts, local delicacies, amusing cultural and creative souvenirs, and all sorts of new year supplies.
