Three major exchange and cooperation bases were established in Foshan

Three major  exchange and cooperation bases for youth in Foshan, Hong Kong and Macao were officially established in Foshan, which marked that the friend circle’ of youth in these cities will be further expanded.

   

On December 21, the Foshan-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Exchange Conference was held in Chancheng District, Foshan City. At the conference, the Foshan-Hong Kong- Macao Youth Innovation Integration Base, the Chancheng-Hong Kong- Macao Youth Exchange Base, and the International Youth Development Alliance Foshan Base were listed in Jians Villa, Lingnan Tiandi at the same time, which will become the general platform in Foshan to serve Hong Kong and Macau youth.  

   

Oriented by problems and demands, the three major bases is an important measure for Foshan to actively integrate into the Greater Bay Area development with new platforms and sophisticated services as entry points. The bases will open up to youth in Foshan, Hong Kong and Macao for business and trade exchange, industry cooperation, culture and tourism, education and friendship, internship and probation, philanthropist service, etc. With bilateral exchange of high-end youth talents and business resources, it is designed to be service platforms cultivating youth entrepreneurship and innovation.

    

During the process of constructing the base, Hong Kong Guangdong Youth Association played its unique role. The members of the organization are composed of youth, social enthusiasts and Guangdong fellows living in Hong Kong who are passionate about promoting development of Guangdong and Hong Kong. Huo Qishan, the president of the organization said that after the base came into operations, the association will use its geographical advantages to reach out to more youth from the two cities and to provide them with more opportunities for development.   

   

At the exchange meeting, youth delegates from Hong Kong and Macao were able to talk freely , share experiences and shed lights on Foshan’s development.

Chen Xianshuai, a graduate from Chinese University of Hong Kong, came to Foshan 10 years ago to start his own business. Now his company has become a ‘unicorn’ in the field of dental restoration.  He said  that with the development of the Greater Bay Area, the advantages of  young people from Hong Kong and Macao to seek development in Foshan will only be more apparent in the future. Foshan has advanced manufacturing industry while Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong have been well-known for its rich innovation and technology transformed resources. Those places can be matched on industry chains.

The Foshan-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Innovation Integration Base is initiated by 8 associations including Hong Kong Guangdong Youth Association, Hong Kong Foshan Association Youth Department, Macau Youth Entrepreneurship Association, Guangdong Youth Entrepreneurs Federation, Foshan Youth Entrepreneurs Federation, Foshan Youth Chamber of Commerce, etc.  The base will rely on, gather and cooperate with various types of incubation platforms, and connect with high-quality young talents in Hong Kong and Macau and high-quality corporate resources in Foshan, so as to support and encourage joint innovation and entrepreneurship of young people among Foshan, Hong Kong and Macao.

   

The Chancheng- Hong Kong - Macao Youth Exchange Base is a general platform to serve various facilities to Hong Kong and Macao youths under the guidance of the Chancheng government. It works under the structure of  "1 + n" (one main base with multiple sub-bases). Sub-bases cover cultural and business travel services, innovation and entrepreneurship incubation, professional services, economic and trade cooperation, and government and enterprise services.

   

The International Youth Development Alliance is a service platform for youth development united by all parties in the society. The alliance can provide diversified services such as scientific and technological innovation, culture and arts, sports and entertainment, commercial services, medical and health, education and training, promote youth exchanges and cooperation at home and abroad, allowing more Hong Kong and Macao youths to understand the mainland China fully, and also promoting exchanges between Chinese youths and youths from other countries.
