On 27th May, Chancheng built New Era Civilization Practice Joint Workstation which innovatively intergated resources of Chancheng (Sheriff Yong’an) Good People Workshop and Minor Off-campus Psychological Counselling Station. It is worthy of being noted that the workstation was listed into the innovation project of Chancheng social construction in 2019.
Innovative joint effort to create “People’s Home”
Located at No.3,Qingshui First Street, covering 265 square meters, the workstation has consulting service area, good people workspace, multiple-media functional room, reading room and off-campus psychological counselling station.
Huang Minling, staff member of the workstation, introduced that uniting with Chancheng library, the reading room has over 1,000 books of different kinds. People can read books for free without registering. And it will change the booklists regularly according to demand and interest of citizens.
Since its establishment, the workstation has provided psychological conselling to 25 minors. This year, it is predicated that no less than 200 people wll receive this service and help cultivate positive healthy mind and sound personality.
Gather good people to lead the new civilzation
While carrying out all kinds of activities, the joint workstation has also continuously deepened the educational significance of the new era civilization practice through ideological guidance.
In the evening of 17th May, Pace and her mother Li Baozhu jointly rescued a drowner at a hotel in Guangzhou. On the day of the unveiling of the station, the Civilization Office of Changcheng District gave them praise. From now on, the celebration ceremony for good people and good deeds will be held in this station, and regular exchange activities of the good people alliance will be carried out here.
At the same time, the “Sheriff Yong’an” Good People Workshop of Chancheng Public Security, headed by “Chinese Good Person” Liao Haibiao, serves with the features of the Good People Ailliance that has 13 members so far.
Chen Dahua, the “Foshan Good Person” of 2019, was responsible for the telecommunication fraud prevention and anti-fraud volunteer alliance; Liao Yudian, the “Foshan Good Person” of 2017, was responsible for carrying out training in fire fighting, traffic safety, anti-theft and anti-robbery skills. In addition, Pan Xiao, the fourth “Moved Moral Figures of Chancheng”, was responsible for providing psychological conselling and preventing minors from juvenile delinquency.
Guided by Safety to build practice base
In order to further implement the practice of civilization, the station has also set up a volunteer service team in Chancheng. At present, the first five teams have joined the team, namely, Sheriff Yong’an Volunteer Group, Police-Business-Tourism Escort Team, Police-School-Family Escort Team, Didi Designated Driver Team and Didi Tailored Taxi Team, providing safe travelling services for the public.
Newly recruited drivers of the two Didi teams will be trained by the Traffic Police Brigade of Chancheng Public Security on traffic safety. Drivers are required to achieve a certain number of hours of service in the safety escort action before working with certificates.
