On April 9, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao jointly hosted the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Promotion Conference in Tokyo, Japan, which promotes the Greater Bay Area to global investors, especially the Japanese business community. After the promotion meeting, Nanhai held a Sino-Japanese Industrial Exchange Conference in Tokyo, and the Nanhai Business Liaison Office in Japan was unveiled.

 

 

Japan is one of the most important trading partners for Nanhai. Since the first Japanese company was stationed in Nanhai in 1994, the number of Japanese companies in Nanhai has increased to 108, including world-renowned companies such as Toyota, Honda, Toray and Asahi Kasei, as well as many small and medium-sized enterprises with core technologies.

 

At the exchange conference, Gu Yaohui, the head of the Nanhai District, expressed the expectation that Nanhai would exchange with Japanese industries in the Greater Bay Area. He introduced the investment opportunities of Nanhai to the Japanese companies present. Nanhai is ready to speed up the construction of the third phase of the Japanese Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Park, and build it into a science and technology park where Japanese companies concentrate on R&D, pilot and mass production.

 

The Nanhai Business Liaison Office in Japan was officially unveiled at the exchange conference. In the future, it will serve as a link between Nanhai and the Japanese innovation industry, and will play a role in the exchange of innovative industries between China and Japan.

 

In recent years, Japanese companies have focused on entrepreneurial hotspots in Shenzhen, and Research Institute of the Tsinghua University in Shenzhen has become an important window to undertake the innovative development of Japanese companies. On this occasion, Nanhai hopes to bring more high-tech enterprises to Nanhai by means of Tsinghua Universitys influence in Japan, and realize “incubation in Shenzhen and industrialization in Nanhai”, making Nanhai an important innovation base in the Greater Bay Area.

 

At the exchange conference, four Chinese and Japanese innovative companies conducted project roadshows.
