From Nov. 5th to 10th, the first China International Import Expo (hereinafter referred as CIIE) was held in Shanghai. More than 300 Foshan enterprises went to Shanghai to purchase goods and services mainly covering the areas of smart and high-end equipment, consumer electronics, home appliances and service trade.

 

 

It is known that Bureau of Commerce of Foshan City seized the opportunity and encouraged enterprises and industry associations (chamber of commerce) to actively participate in the relevant service in order to ensure the smooth going of economic and trade docking activities and improve the development of Foshan imports. More than 300 companies participating in the CIIE are mainly from smart homes, new energy power electrical equipment, industrial parts and other industries. 

 

In addition to enterprises, several industry associations (chamber of commerce) such as Foshan Electronic Information Industry Association, Shunde Chamber of Commerce of Importers and Exporters also embarked on a trip to CIIE. Ye Wenfeng, the secretary-general of Shunde Chamber of Commerce of Importers and Exporters said that participating in the CIIE was mainly to obtain the worlds most cutting-edge information and look for some business opportunities in the import trade. "As a chamber of commerce, we hope to deliver the worlds most cutting-edge technology to members of the chamber of commerce and help companies better open up the import market."

　

In addition to the procurement, Foshan also actively recommended international giants such as KUKA Robotics Co., Ltd. to participate in the CIIE. The KUKA of Germany, whose controlling interest is held by Midea Group, mainly showed the scene of the smart factory at the expo. Visitors can experience the application of the solutions in production such as the collaborative robots, mobile and classic industrial robots, AGV (unmanned van) and so on.

 

Besides, some Foshan enterprises provided supporting services for the CIIE. At the entrance center of the Shanghai Pudong International Airport Arrival Hall, the robot "Xiaozhi" of Guangdong Tiantai Robot Co., Ltd officially took up the post. "Xiaozhi" had a number of original patents and could assist in dealing with passenger flow during the CIIE with three-dimensional environment navigation, multi-voice interaction and other functions.
