粤剧迷有福啦！一年一度的粤剧华光诞又来了！11月10日、11日两日，“粤韵传承·华光盛典”——2018佛山粤剧华光诞活动将在广东粤剧博物馆开幕。各位街坊齐齐“担凳仔，睇大戏”啦~

An audio-visual feast is to come again for Cantonese opera fans! The annual Cantonese Opera Festival celebrating the birth for Huaguang Emperor (hereafter referred as the Huaguang Emperor’s Birthday)  will be held on November 10th to 11th.

在中国农历九月廿八日、粤剧祖师华光的诞辰，粤剧戏班会举行隆重的祭祖师活动，俗称“华光诞”。

On September 28th in Chinese lunar calendar, the birthday of Huaguang Emperor, namely the Cantonese opera ancestor, the Cantonese opera troupe would hold grand activities to celebrate, which is commonly known as " Huaguang Emperor’s Birthday ". 

 

华光诞活动作为禅城一项传统民俗文化品牌活动，自2008年起，已经成功举办了10届。每届活动都精彩纷呈、好戏连台，充分展现了粤剧的时代魅力，在海内外产生一定的影响力。

As a traditional folk culture brand event in Chancheng, Huaguang Emperor’s Birthday has been successfully held for 10 sessions since 2008. Events conducted every year are full of brilliance and excellent performances, fully demonstrating the charm of the Cantonese opera and exerting certain influence at home and abroad.

 

作为粤剧的发源地，佛山也吸引了众多国内外的粤剧爱好者齐聚佛山，朝拜粤剧祖师。今年将有来自13个国家和地区粤剧名家、粤剧团体和粤剧发烧友来到佛山，共享文化盛宴。

As the birthplace of Cantonese opera, Foshan has attracted many Cantonese opera fans both home and abroad to worship the Cantonese opera ancestor. This year, masters, groups and fans of Cantonese opera from 13 countries and regions will come to Foshan to enjoy the cultural feast.

本届华光诞活动将为广东粤剧博物馆建设“声音邮局”，打造线上有声博物馆。市民、游客只需要滑动指尖，就能了解广东粤剧博物馆的资讯，欣赏到粤剧大佬倌的历史表演影音和唱段~

Huaguang Emperor’s Birthday events will build a “sound post office” for the Cantonese Opera Museum, creating an online sound museum. Citizens and tourists only need to slide their fingertips to learn about the updated news of Cantonese Opera Museum and enjoy the outstanding performances and arias of the Cantonese Opera.

 

本届华光诞打造了文化创意旅游路线，体验粤剧华光诞，参观佛山粤剧传习所、广东粤剧博物馆、祖庙万福台、粤剧主题酒店、张槎粤剧文化古村……让市民、游客感悟多样的粤剧元素，体验与众不同的粤剧魅力！

It is created a cultural and creative tourism route, covering experiencing the Cantonese opera Huaguang Emperor’Birthday, visiting the Foshan Cantonese Opera Institute, Guangdong Cantonese Opera Museum, the Ancestral Temple Wanfu Table, the Hotel Themed Cantonese Opera and the Zhangye Cantonese Opera Cultural Village.

 

Those mentioned above are aimed to make the citizens and tourists feel diversified elements of Cantonese opera and experience the charm of Cantonese opera.

 

 

佛山市禅城区博物馆还对广东粤剧博物馆进行了展陈改造提升。届时，广东粤剧博物馆将以焕然一新的面貌作为本届华光诞活动的主阵地，迎接各方宾客。

The Chancheng Museum also carried out a renovation and promotion on the Guangdong Cantonese Opera Museum. At that time, Cantonese Opera Museum will take a new look as the main front of the Huaguang Emperor’s Birthday events to welcome guests from all walks of life.

 

本届粤剧华光诞期间，将有一系列线下活动在禅城举行。11月10日晚，广东省博物馆将上演“粤演缤纷”——海外、佛山优秀私伙局粤剧表演专场。11日晚，由佛山粤剧传习所带来的2018佛山粤剧华光诞优秀折子戏专场晚会也将在广东粤剧博物馆举行。

During the Huaguang Emperor’s Birthday events, there will be a series of offline activities held in Chancheng. On the evening of November 10th, Guangdong Museum will stage a special Cantonese opera performance for overseas and Foshan outstanding private club. On the evening of the 11th, the opera highlights evening party of the 2018 Huaguang Emperors Birthday will also be held at the Guangdong Cantonese Opera Museum.
