The town where Neidong Village is located has an absorbing name called Tiantang Town (namely Paradise Town). As soon as he joined the poverty reduction campaign, Xia Peixiong, a Foshan poverty alleviation cadre, made up his mind to turn this poor village, namely Neidong Village into a veritable well-off village.

Neidong Village, Tiantang Town, Yunfu is located in the midst of rice fields and mountains. There are 10 natural villages under the jurisdiction of Neidong Village with a total area of 9.96 square kilometers. As the land is fertile with large areas of cultivated land, woodland and fish ponds, the villagers mainly plant rice, peanuts and vegetables. Due to the inconvenient transportation and low land output value, the vegetables in Neidong Village encountered poor sales for a long period.
After Xia Peixiong came to the village, he introduced a professional vegetable company in Gaoming, Foshan and created a pollution-free vegetable base. With the help of professional technology, the loofah from the base is sweet and crisp, and can produce more than 3,000 kilograms per mu. Later on, the loofah sold well in the local and Pearl River Delta area and increased the income of the villagers every year.

Poor household Huang Jinming is difficult in moving because of disability. Xia Peixiong set the vegetable purchase site at the entrance of the village and e-commerce became available with his efforts, so that Huang Jinming could sell his vegetables. Xia Peixiong promoted the cooperation between Neidong Village and postal departments and set up e-commerce platform. The farmers can directly deliver the agricultural products to "Post Store" in the village and make unified sales in stores and on-line.

"Captain Xia is the right choice when you have difficulties”, the villager Huang Jinming said. The total number of households in Neidong Village is 1004, and the total population is 4269. By the end of April 2018, 333 persons from 127 relative poor households were identified accurately. Every quarter, Xia Peixiong will visit the poor households and other farmers on a regular basis, and learn well about the overall situation of the village.

The newly renovated home of Huang Fanxin was once a dangerous house, now it is remodeled to a bright and comfortable one. Two years ago, the houses of more than 20 poor households in the village were dangerous houses, and the renovation of them has always driven the heart of Xia Peixiong. From 2016 to 2017, the renovation of 24 houses were completed in Neidong Village, and 9 households were planned to be modified at the end of 2018.
Inside Neidong Village, sewer, garbage houses, public toilet, sewer network, fitness square and so on will be in your sight, and the construction of beautiful villages is also undergoing. Xia peixiongs dream is to build Neidong Village into a new rural demonstration village.

Making money by growing vegetables is the real portraiture of Neidong Village. By the end of 2017, the per capita disposable income of the poor households that have labors in Neidong Village exceeded 10,000 yuan. Through industrial assistance, Xia Peixiong and the working team in the village changed the appearance of the village and helped the villagers live a better life.
