Foshan won international recognition again! On June 5th, according to the offical website of Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, recently American corporation A.T. Kearney issued “Report of Global Cities” , in which Foshan was selected on the list of the world’s most influential cities in 2018.

Among seven cities selected on the list this year, six are from China. And Foshan is one of the six cities. Four cities in Guangdong are on the list including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan and Dongguan. Foshan follows Guangzhou and Shenzhen and ranks first among the prefecture-level cities in Guangdong.

It is known that experts will choose among 135 cities worldwide based on 27 criteria. Reference indicators include business environment, human resources, information exchange, cultural development and citizen participation in political activities.

Foshan being on the list of the most influential cities is a recognition of Foshan’s constant effort in increasing external propaganda, shaping brand image and enhancing city awareness and reputation home and abroad.

According to the test release of 2018 Chinese city brand evaluation ranking sponsored by China City Press of the Peoples Daily on May 26th, Foshan ranked among top five with 456.96 points in the prefecture-level cities nationwide.

    

City brand is an objective display of a citys image in ecology, culture, economy and government.

The brilliant achievements of Foshan in various fields have also made Foshan brands popular among people.

Economy of Foshan 

The total gross regional product of Foshan in 2017 is 954.96 billion yuan with an increase of 8.55% over the same period of last year. It shows that the economic strength of Foshan has reached a new level!

Air quality of Foshan 

Last year, the number of days with fine air quality in Foshan was 290 days, accounting for nearly 80% of valid days!

Education and medical treatment in Foshan 

In order to meet the demand for degrees after the release of two-child policy, Foshan will build, reconstruct and expand a group of schools in the next three years. In addition, Foshan Women and Children Hospital will be completed and opened in 2019.
