This time around, legendary Foshan Kungfu hit the national television again. With stunning Tai Chi performances on Chinas Got Talent (《中国达人秀》), Liang Biying, the 23-year-old girl from Foshan, was reclaimed as the new "Kungfu Girl".
All the powerful and confident Kungfu moves in the spotlight, in fact, came from years-long practice behind the scene. Born in Daliang Shunde in 1998, Liang made her first contact with martial arts at the age of 8.
In the summer of 2007, she began receiving training at Shunde District Amateur Sports School. In 2008, she started her systematic Tai Chi training before winning the first prize at the 15th World Wushu Championships of 2019.
All the glories Liang was crowned with, as she always says, come down to where she started it all - Shunde, Foshan, a beloved home that she will always keep embedded in her heart.
