宁可“煲烂”、不可“扒慢”！2025中国（佛山）叠滘龙船漂移大赛近日正式拉开帷幕。这项被称为“水上F1”的盛事今年迎来了首位外国参赛者！

Rather wreck than fall behind! The 2025 China (Foshan) Diejiao Dragon Boat Drift Race, widely known as the "F1 Race on Water," has officially kicked off. This year, the event welcomes its first-ever foreign participant.

来自德国的Michael，目前在顺德担任德语教师。他通过朋友的分享了解到佛山叠滘龙船漂移赛，觉得非常有趣。在叠滘陈丰村龙船基地进行实地参观体验后，Michael决定参与到这项独一无二的龙船漂移赛事中。如今，Michael已加入叠滘陈丰龙船队，成为首位外籍“扒仔”，积极备战6月份的赛事。

Michael, a German currently teaching in Shunde, first heard about the Diejiao Dragon Boat Drift Race through a friend. After visiting the Chenfeng Village dragon boat base in Diejiao, he was so impressed by the experience that he decided to join the race. He later became the team's first foreign paddler and is now training actively for the June event.

Michael说，他的家乡奥格斯堡因皮划艇运动而闻名，他也常常参与其中，原以为皮划艇和龙船的技巧大同小异，没想到实操下来，差别还是很大的。经过一个多月的训练，Michael在队友们的帮助下已逐渐掌握龙船的坐划、跪划技巧，甚至还学会了不少粤语口令。他表示，希望能让更多人了解佛山龙船漂移的魅力，并期待未来能有属于龙船漂移的“世界杯”。

Michael said his hometown Augsburg is known for kayaking, a sport he often takes part in. He initially assumed the skills required for kayaking and dragon boat drifting would be similar, but soon realized the differences. After more than a month of training, he has gradually mastered both seated and kneeling paddling techniques, and even some Cantonese commands. He hopes more people will discover the charm of Foshan's dragon boat drift and looks forward to seeing a World Cup" for dragon boat drift someday.

南海叠滘的河道呈典型的岭南水乡风貌，蜿蜒曲折且宽窄不一，最窄处仅容两艘龙舟并行。这样独特的河道地形，造就了全球独一无二的龙船漂移赛道。2017 年，“叠滘弯道赛龙船”入选佛山市第六批市级非物质文化遗产代表性项目名录。

The rivers in Diejiao Nanhai have the typical features of a Lingnan water town, winding and varying in width. The narrowest parts just allow only two dragon boats to pass side by side. This unique river terrain has created the world's only dragon boat drift race. In 2017, the race was included in the sixth batch of Foshan's municipal intangible cultural heritage items.
