Yesterday (July 12), the first batch of 15 charging spots constructed by Guangdong Thousands of Cities & Charging Stations E-Vehicles Operating Co Ltd (hereinafter referred to as GTCCS) in Foshan were put into use, which will greatly solve the charging problem of new-energy automobiles. There are 5 in Chancheng District, 5 in Nanhai District, 4 in Shunde District and 1 in Gaoming District.

The charging spots put into operation have a single charging power as high as 180KW. It takes only 30 minutes of quick charge to fill 90% of the electric quantity, and its endurance can reach over 200 kilometers, which greatly shortens the charging time. Earlier this year, Chancheng District signed a strategic cooperation agreement with GTCCS. According to the plan, GTCCS will invest 1 billion yuan in two to three years to build a 5-minute charging network in Chancheng and even in Foshan and place no less than 1,000 online renting electric cars to boost the popularization of new-energy automobiles in Foshan.

How do new-energy automobiles charge? According to related policies, the charging fee should be under 0.8 yuan per kilowatt hour. And it will be divided into business standard and residence standard according to different sites.

Up to the end of last year, there are 10 charging stations and 681 charging poles in Chancheng. This year, Chancheng will build 9 centralized charging stations and 489 distributed charging poles to construct an all-round and muti-level charging network covering residence communities, social public parking lots, government departments, business zones, etc., satisfying the growing charging need of new-energy automobiles.
