Recently, led by Foshan Bureau of Culture, Television, Tourism and Sports, two "lion dance" masters have travelled from Foshan to Medog County in Tibet, providing a 10-day lion dance training program for local primary and middle school students. This time, Foshan has brought this time-honored National Intangible Cultural Heritage all the way to Tibetan Plateau, into classrooms of primary and secondary schools in Medog County.

Never have these students learnt about Foshans art of lion dance. In this program, they were taught the basic manners, footwork and postures about lion dance as theyve grown more passion for Foshan traditional culture.

It is hoped that a lot more relevant cultural exchange programs can be tried out in both Foshan and Medog County, so as to achieve integrated growth in cultural undertakings between the two regions.
