For four days, the expo will present a high-tech feast to visitors.
Focus on the Opening Ceremony
At 10:30 yesterday morning, the opening ceremony of the Internet Plus Expo was held at the Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center with a theme of “Digital Life, Business & Production”. 731 domestic and foreign well-known companies such as Baidu, Huawei, Midea, JD.com X, China Mobile, Alugha and iris participate in the expo, which demonstrates advanced technologies and products in the fields of Internet Plus, digital business and life, innovation and entrepreneurship, intelligent manufacturing and robotics.
12 key projects were signed on the spot with a total investment of 9.017 billion yuan. The contracted projects include the National Information Center (Foshan) Digital Simulation Research Institute, Guangdong Academy of Sciences-Foshan Industrial Technology Research Institute, Foshan Data Lake, Alibaba Cloud Innovation Center (Foshan), etc.
The expo will last for four days. In the same period, over 20 supporting activities will be held such as the 6th Plenary Session of the Sino-German Industrial City Alliance, the Smart Technology Application and Industry Integration Summit Forum, Foshan Service Trade and Service Outsourcing Brand Upgrading Seminar, the Intelligent Manufacturing Seminar, 2018 Chinese UAV Industrial Development Summit Forum, the 20th National Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition, and China Artificial Intelligence Plus Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit.

Members and observer cities of Sino-German Industrial City Alliance increased to 41
At the 6th Plenary Session of the Sino-German Industrial City Alliance held yesterday, Hamburg, Lanzhou and Xiaoshan District of Hangzhou officially joined the alliance, which marks the number of alliance members and observer cities increased to 41. Zhu Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Foshan Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Foshan, said that Foshan will work hard with all member cities to create an open, innovative, equal and negotiated development environment, and strive to truly build the Sino-German Industrial City Alliance into a sample platform for Sino-German cooperation.
