As night falls, the giant lion head "Awakening" at Qiandenghu Lake People's Square begins to emit brightness. Combined with the new media light show and water spray, a beautiful stage is presented in front of people.

With a height of 12.8 meters, the lion head is made of 316 stainless steel pines.

The inheritor of Foshan festoon lion head intangible cultural heritage Ou Qihui is invited to design this city landmark by integrating Nanhai cultural spirit. 

Nanhai is the birthplace of southern lion dance in China. Awakening lion is the symbol of this area. This artwork will inject much vitality into the square and pass down the lion spirit to more people.
